Become a Friend of Connecticut Explored!
Friends of Connecticut Explored provide important support for the continued publication of the magazine. After 10 years under the umbrella of Hartford Public Library, in June 2012 we incorporated as an independent nonprofit organization and received our 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS.
Friends contribute $100 or more per year and receive a subscription and may take a tax deduction for the amount of their gift over $20. Our 2013 “Second Decade” Friends Campaign is underway.
We’ve listed Friends gifts of $100 or more received through 12/31/12 below and in the Spring 2013 issue (gifts between now and 12/31/13 will be listed next spring). Your support as we launch into our second decade–as a newly minted independent nonprofit organization–is more important than ever! Friends support also helps underwrite our discounted subscriptions for teachers. Connecticut Explored’s lesson plans are a great way to introduce young people to a love of Connecticut history!
